Restricted membership is your gateway to Full membership. There are two Restricted membership options available, determined by the age group you fall into.

VRC Restricted Membership: This category of membership is open to those aged 26 years old and over and offers many of the same benefits of Full membership, apart from voting rights.

VRC Young Restricted Membership: This category of membership is open to those aged 18–25 years old and offers many of the same benefits of a Young membership, including access to exclusive Young Member events.

Both Restricted membership categories provide many of the same privileges as Full membership, with a few exceptions:

• Restricted members can access Flemington Racecourse general public areas, Members Car Parks and The Birdcage over the four days of Melbourne Cup Carnival.
• Restricted members are able to access the Members Enclosure on Penfolds Victoria Derby Day and Lexus Melbourne Cup Day by purchasing a Restricted Member Daily Ticket.
• Restricted members can access the Members Enclosure on Kennedy Oaks Day and TAB Champions Stakes Day.
• Restricted members are eligible to purchase Members Unreserved Car Park Passes but are not eligible to purchase Annual Guest Cards or vote in annual Board elections.

A one-off joining fee applies to both Young Restricted & Restricted Memberships.

Elevation to Full membership is subject to capacity and is offered to those who have been Restricted members for the longest period of time.

There is no waiting period for Phar Lap Club (0-11 years) or Junior Membership (12 – 17 years), sign up today!
